Probation lasting longer than my sentence what do I do?
I was given a three year sentence. I was granted a reconsideration and placed on probation for 3 years. I have paid my restitution over a course of 8 years. I have walked a straigt line and have held a job the whole time. My po said she would terminate my probation once I paid the restitution. I did that. Now she says she is going to keep me on until I pay some late fees and other fees. It will take me another two years to pay that. This will be a 10 year sentence after all is said and done. I've been on probation longer than my original sentence. Does anyone know if there is something I can file or do to terminate probation?

    Hello p:

Write a letter to the judge and tell him what you told us... Send your letter certified, return receipt requested, and send a copy to the PO and the prosecutor.

It is normal to have to pay all the fees to get off probation.
