    Ceiling fan lights quit working.
We've had a Hunter ceiling fan installed for several years with a remote control. Today when I turned on the lights, a bulb blew. Now none of the remaining bulbs work, though the bulbs themselves are still good. The fan still runs and the remote still works for the fan, but the lights do not respond. What should I check?

Check with a probe or meter to see if there is power inside the socket, back to you. You say one bulb blew and now none will work. How many and what type bulb and did the others initially stay lighted when the one blew?

There were 4 60 watt bulbs. The one blew when I turned on the light. The others never lit.

Ok time to get the probe and check the socket. If no power in the socket then open the canopy and test between the output side of the receiver between blue and the white. Let us know what your readings are.

The lights were not on at all when I hit the switch. When I hit the switch, one bulb immediately blew out. The other three never lit. The bulbs are incandescent 60 watt.

Do you have a test probe or meter?
