21-year-old daughter was adopted with name change?
She had a name change at age 6 to my last name and is now 21. Is this considered adoption?

No, a name change is NOT an adoption, not even close.

Please - when it's a legal question make sure you are correct. A name change is NOT a legal adoption - parents can and do petition to change the surname of minor children for a variety of reasons.

An adoption is something entirely different.

A name change is just that, merely changing your last ( or first) name.

A adoption is much more than a name change.
