    Property G-1 Visa
Hi, I am a G-1 visa holder, single and also a tax-exempt status in this country and, as I just bought a property in Brooklyn, New York. So my question is could I file a property tax return in the future since I am going to pay Property-tax on the house starting December 2011? Thank you very much and Have a great day.

There is no property tax return.
Although you are exempt from income taxes on your G1 visa you are not exempt from property taxes.

Further, if you later sell the property for a gain, you WILL have to file a tax return (Form 1040NR with Schedule D) and pay taxes on those capital gains. The exclusion of tax on gains for homeowners will NOT apply to you.
