Will, insurance, bank account information etc, power of attorney

In your will you presumably have specified an executor (or "personal representative" as it is known in some states). Give that person a copy of your will and contact information for the lawyer who drew it up. Also put together a list of all your bank accounts, insurance policies, investment accounts, 401(k) plan, etc and leave it in a well marked folder in your files, and tell the executor where it is.

As for the power of attorney - you should tell the person you would be appointing as PoA where the documents are. And if you have a "living will" you should let at least a few close relatives know about it and where they can find it among your records.
