I believe I had a miscarriage, 3 days ago. Today I did a home pregnant. Test to see, it came back positive. If I have had a true miscarriage how long does it take for a negative test to occur?

If you had a miscarriage, you should go to a doctor to make sure everything is OK. If everything didn't leave your body, you can develop an infection. The doctor will be able to confirm if you were pregnant, and if you did experience a miscarriage.
