When did you read both tests? If you happened to look at the results after the time frame stated on the tests, often about 3 minutes or so, it can sometimes appear to be a positive when it isn't.

It may be that it is just too early to get an accurate result and you will need to retest in about a week.

I took this test on Saturday. The one that showed up negative was on Sunday morning. Im not really sure if I had ovulated or not. The main thing I want to know is if it looks promising for me or not. I'm going to test again tomorrow and see what it says.

Many women wait too long to read the test. This results in a false positive.
