    Tiny bugs living on plants.
I have 2 plants that I brought in for the winter. They're ghost pepper plants. They're healthy for the most part, still producing, although very slow.

Anyway I noticed a lot of tiny bugs on the leaves and stalks. They are either white or very light green. Numbers in the hundreds.

What are they and how can I get rid of them? I prefer natural/organic means, but if that's not an option, what else can I do? Are these bugs a danger to us or our home or will they go away for good with treatment?

I looked with a magnifying glass, and it's not all bugs, I guess the bulk of the white specks is the insect's waste? Hopefully someone knows what this is and what I can do! Could I make a nicotine spray? I just don't want to kill my plants.

They sound like they could be aphids. Do they have thin black legs? Aphids suck the food from the phloem cells in the plant. Often where they are the leaves of the plant will curl and become mishapen :)
