Well Pump shuts off no water
My 600 foot well pump continues to overload and pop its system protection button. If I push the reset at the bottom of the control box that sits at the top of the pipe, it runs for a couple of minutes then pops off again. When this first occurred I could hear it filling the storage tank. Now it trickles and I hear no water going into my tank. We found that the water level is around 100 ft so I do have water. Some have suggested that it might be a check valve gone bad but I don't want to start pulling the pipes unless I know all the electrical parts are not causing a problem. My question is: Is there a special pump electrician or who can tell me for sure all the contol box components are OK. If not I start pulling the pipes in a week. Can't live without water

    How old is the pump?

Something sounds strange about your situation. You have water 100' down, but your pump is 600' down. That sounds like someone believed you needed a good reserve of water above the pump as the well, possibly, does not supply a great deal of water, So, it might be that the pump, even with 500' of water above it, is able to empty the well after several minutes of pumping and then is running dry and hot.
