And less than 30 days since he was put on house arrest. Is this wrong?
Is what wrong? Him smoking pot? His arrest? The warrant?
When was he tested for drugs? It makes no difference if he was on home arrest probation or regular probation, if he tested dirty, he's violated, plain and simple. And no, this is not wrong as he will have plenty of time in jail to think about his violation until his VOP hearing is held.
Hello mom:
Well, OF COURSE it's wrong. Without marijuana, the cops might have to fight some REAL crime...
He's going to have a violation hearing, and his only chance is to tell them that the dirty UA results from drug use BEFORE he was on probation.. It wouldn't hurt for him to have a lawyer present his case.

Uh, Exie, when you are on house arrest you where already in jail to get this designation. Or waiting to be convicted. No other way. So he could not have been tested before he was put on probation. Sorry. At least that's the way I see it according to what OP is saying.
Hello twink:
It's true, I can't make heads nor tails out of what she said. It just looked to me like they tested him somewhere around 30 AFTER he was put on house arrest/probation...
But, you're probably right, twinkie. I'm just trying to make her feel good. The kid is going to get screwed.

If he had the test done when he got onto house arrest, he's definitely going back to jail/prison and not going to get the luxury of house arrest in a big hurry, if at all.
Exie, you need to stop trying to be the "good guy" here and leading people astray on serious stuff like this. When he goes back to jail his mom is going to be pissed. She just may look you up and come and smash you in the face with a homemade cake or throw rotten tomaters at you.
