    Is h1b visa allowed to work as contractor for other company?
    A person with h1b have full-time job in A company. Is he allowed to work part-time for company B as contractor and file 1099 (W-9) to pay the tax?

    That said...

    No, he is NOT permitted to work as a contractor under IRS Form 1099-MISC.

    This is a serious violation of the provisions of the H-1B visa and could result in revocation of that visa.
