I have been a certified nursing assistant in Kentucky for 12 years.I recently got convicted of a felony for child support.Can I still work as a nursing assistant and go back to school to further my education?

You cannot be licensed with a felony in Kentucky. You can go back to school and get any degree you want. You cannot USE that degree if it requires licensing.

If your employer runs a background check - or if you are honest about the conviction - you cannot work as a CNA.

In Kentucy non-payment of child support can indeed be a felony according to KRS2 530.050(2).
