Sounds as if the water level switch is turning off the water but not sending power to the timer to start the machine. The water level switch has a clear hose connecting to the tub and this switch is round with three wires plugged onto it. There is a wire coming in and one going out to water valve and the other to timer. When the cycle starts the switch is closed to water valve and when the water level reaches a certain point the switch switches power to timer. You will find this switch attached to knob controlling water level. You can test it with a meter which should be done before you buy one. DrTom4444

    drtom4444,
If the timer was not getting power to it why would it advance so quickly.

Are you saying that the timer is spinning or the unit is stopping? DrTom4444

You need a timer or timer motor. DrTom4444
