My sister is the trustee ,beneficiary and has power of attorney, I am the other beneficiary.
It is a revocable family trust.My dad has not left any instructions as to what to do with assets,He only asked my sister to promise him to be fair to me.

I believe also that she helped him write the trust ,and when I ask for a copy she will not give me one.

My dad is very ill now and won't deal with it. Is there anything that I can do to get a copy before he dies?

If you are a named beneficiary, you may be able to compel her, by legal action, to give you a copy.

If the dad is not dead yet, there is no estate or probate at this time. Your dad is who you need to talk to, since even if you were left nothing, you can't change it by looking, you would need dad to work with you.

Next "fair" could keep you in court for years, if he has not spelled out details in writing completely, things can go bad.
I will assume you and your sister do not get along and you don't trust her?

No I'm not getting along with very well, I have been racking my brain over this. I know why he put her in charge, she has 12 homes,and 3 business I'm divorced with a dog go figure

I wouldn't be so quick to walk away.. Scott mentioned that you MAY have a RIGHT to see the trust... Of course, having a right, and enforcing it, are two different things.. You're going to need a lawyer. I'll bet you can find one who'd be willing to wait for his fee until the estate/trust is probated/executed...

It's not a will, it's a trust. Therefore it's effective immediately, not upon death.

Short of getting an attorney and taking her to court, another way to skin the cat would be to research the title of the real property. If dad's attorney did things right, the property should have been conveyed to the trust.
