I met this guy on a double date with my mate and she set me up with this guy who is apparently really shy so I tried to catch him alone to have a chat it wasn't long before his mate came out for a smoke. I'm a little shy too and don't always know what to say so the rest of the night I tried to catch his eye to show him I was sitting alone but he just stayed with his mates. Then after he left he txted me how pretty I was and how shy he is with girls he likes and wish we went out and had a chat. I said it was fine and we should go out another time. The next weekend after txting all week he stopped txting. Then Tueday night he txted me how I have been and how many boy fiends I've had... I told him and he wrote back 'should hook up' just like that and I said yeah all right... and that was it for another week? I'm stunned did I say or do something wrong? Help me I don't know what I'm doing I've been single for 3 years!

Your not doing anything wrong but I would advise you not be so willing to give information out via texting especially " how many boyfriends you have had. What difference does that make to him? If he is really interested in you he would have asked you out and chatted to you like a normal human being. This guy sounds a bit dodgey. B e careful x

Its not you, but be cautious of new guys, shy or not.
