Hi, I'm currently in college and I am Muslim and I started wearing a hi jab recently. My boyfriend totally supports my decision but I want to wear the long dress as well.. My boyfriend thinks that's a bit ext ream since he is very modern. In my religion men are required to grow a beard but he doesn't want to. I want my husband to have one. We are very serious but now I am having trouble and I don't know if I should break up with him or not.

It sounds like you have different views on how to practice your religion. If you cannot find compromises then let the relationship end now.

It sounds like you are becoming more traditional in your viewpoints and embracing your religion. It may be the best path for you, but it may not be for him.

Up until recently have you followed a more modern lifestyle? Have you truly thought about what the traditional role of a woman is and all of the requirements and restrictions? What I am asking is if you are possibly going to an extreme that you might later find too restricting. If he embraced the traditions to the extent you seem to be, would he be the man you care about? Would he be the man you might want to marry?

If you are set in your Beliefs and Ideals, then perhaps you should find a male who shares them.
