    Is this my past life?!
Apparently I found out my past life. From what I was a 19 year old male, born and raised in Rhode Island. I was a strong christian (which I am now) and volunteered to fight in the Civil war. Which I had fought in several battles under the name Pvt. Smith.(meant to say my name was Jeffrey Smith) But then I was told I went to fight in a battle in Georgia, but then some artillery fire caused severe damage to my body, then I was told I died a few hours later. It's said I also had a girlfriend named Betty Carlson that I left behind. (it's also said that my patriotism carried over to my current life, which I am rather patriotic and that I don't get how she knew) What do you guys think? Is it legit or not? It's weird because she described the traits of me so well o_O

Where did you get this information? Strong Christian? I suggest you read Hebrews 9:27 then. The idea of reincarnaton and past lives flies in the face of everything that the Bible teaches. If a medium or psychic gave you this information, then you also need to understand where they are getting THEIR information. If Satan is called by God as the Father of Lies... expect the same from his spirits. And what strong Christian consults with these types of people?? "...should not a people seek their God?" - Isaiah 8:19

Your account of your "past life" sounds very similar to several others I am aware of who have had a reading or vision or however it was allegedly accomplished , who have been informed of their past lives by a "psychic" or "wizard" or "medium"... for a small fee.

A son of mine and two of my friends are included in this group and their readings ,done by different people and at different times had many similarities surface.
My son and one of my friends were also "killed in the Civil War" .One bravely at Gettysberg and the other (with a detectable southern drawl) at Atlanta fighting Shermans "rape of the south".

The other was in Washingtons army and actually knew General Washington in some manner.
All stories that you'd want to believe for the majority of us.

On the other hand, I have read of people with memories of past lives that were so precise and accurate that the information they had could only come from the person they remembered to be and was verifiable with family and through records of the time.
No medium was involved here. They started talking about the memories as a child.
I do not think this is in the same category .

How did they tell you they came by this information?
How much did it cost ? If I may ask.( If this offends accept my apology and ignore the question.)

The Civil War and Revolutionary War seem to be popular and the fine characteristics you had then you have now were there also.
We all like flattery and will believe good things about us more readily than mundane or negative things .

My "spider sense" is tingling and my common sense says, remain extremely suspicious and highly doubtful of any validity to any of what I have encountered in this area.
