My marital settlement agreement in California specifically calls out that I pay CS% of my bonus BUT the agreement makes no mention of SS% or that I have to pay SS for bonus, just SS as a monthly figure.


Do I have to still pay SS on Bonus if the MSA does not say it?

CS = child support
SS - spousal support

If the agreement states a specific dollar amount for SS per month and does not mention specific sources of funds, then that's the figure. Doesn't matter if you get a bonus or not, or hit the lottery. And it also doesn't matter if your salary goes down or you get laid off.
