Hello I am about 25 yrs old and a mother of one. I have a question for anyone out there who has experience this particual situation. Just to start I am not on any kind of birthcontrol at all. Now I am about 4 days late and I am showing signs of pregnancy i.e... morning sickness, tender breast, headaches ect; everything I had with my first pregnancy but when I took the preganancy test it was a negative result. I did one in the afternoon (b/c my husband was eager to know) and one in the morning because that is when my hcg levels would be its highest yet nothing. If anyone out there has any answer to this please let me know. Thanks very much.

Your hcg levels could just be too low to show up on a hpt. If this is the case, you can take a pregnancy blood test that will measure your amounts of hcg in your system. Or get an exam from your ob/gyn. They can look for an enlarged uterus and the blueish purple tint (signs of pregnancy) it could just be that you are just late, as our bodies are always changing and sometimes the hormones just throw us through a loop. (esp if you really want to get preggy. You could want it so badly you are tricking your body into thinking it is preggy, thus making your period late.) it is also not uncommon to completely miss your period one month, and have it return like normal the next month. I would say you are pregent but your hormone levels are still 2 low they need a bit of time 2 show hun my friend was the same she didn't show till 2 months went passed but she new she was pregnet from the way she felt
