    Getting my boyfriend to leave
I am going through the same thing. The person is my ex-boyfriend. I have asked him to leave for months, but he is gained "residency" in my apartment. I called the police to escort him out, but they told me that he has a legal right to live there because of how long he had been there, and that he gets mail! I don't want to get him into trouble knowing that he has no where else to go, and no money, but I'm afraid that he will over stay my lease and I will have to pay for him after my lease is up in 60 days. Please help me too.

    Where? It varies by State/Country.

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion, so your post has been moved to its own thread.

Second, you need to give the boyfriend a 30 day vacate notice and then follow it with an eviction if he doesn't leave.

Also send give the landlord notice that you will be vacating and that you are not responsible for him.

Stop "telling him" and give him a written notice to move out, if he does not, then you file in court for an eviction. This is not criminal, it is civil.
