    Drain hole covered for washer?
I am purchasing a home and the inspector mentioned that my Washer box has no hole for the water to drain from my washer. I took a look at it and there is a hole to the right of the cold faucet but covered with plastic and will not come off. The same for the hot faucet but the hole is covered on the left side. Do I need to make a hole in the middle to see if the pipe is there? Or cut around one of the covered holes next to the cold or hot faucet? Thanks

There may be a standpipe somewhere else. Look for a 2" pipe in the laundry room. The only way to be sure about the drain is to cut the wall open below the supply valve box and see what's in there. You can install a wall access panel instead of covering with drywall.

I will try that. I am really surprised since this home was built in 2005 and is located in a higher end area that this would be an issue. Thank you!
