I want to know how do I go about getting full custody of my girls. This man has cases against him on domestic Violence. I would like full custody of my girls. I am in Alaska and need some help.

You need to provide a bit more information. Is there currently court ordered custody? Were you married to this man, is he the legal father? Who do the girls currently live with?

The bottom line, though, is you need to go to the local Family Court and petition for full legal and physical custody with no or limited visitation.

Except it's the Superior Court in Alaska. :cool:

OK, so does the father have joint custody now ? Are you wanting full custody or do you want to take the fathers rights away from him, not allowing any visits and so on.

There is a big difference, Sole custody is just that, you have full custody but the father will still have visits with the child.
