Hi everyone, I am in a similar situation as most of you who posted the question here. I am involved in an almost 8 years relationship. Recently, I noticed things were different between us and she had been going out more frequent at night. I gave her a hint here and there for her to talk to me about it but she didn't pick it up. Just by accident, I saw her holding another guy's hand and I confronted her... Afterward, he had a talk and she said she is confused. When she spend time with this other guy, she's happy. Everyday she waits and waits for his call or his text message... and things he said made her feel happy. She told me that she doesn't know whether this is a fling or what and she had asked me for something off in our relationship (2-3 months). I am so confusing right now because I don't know what does she mean by "2-3 months break". I asked her does it mean an absolute breakup and she responded no. So I don't know what to do... Everyday it hurts me inside because I know that they still contact each other and my girlfriend and I still see each other. Occasionally, I saw her read the txt message and she smiles... so I assumed it was the other guy... I don't know what to do... We still see each other and the more I talked to her... the more I wanted her to come back to me... and when I put my hands on her shoulder like normal bf/gf do, she shrug my hands off... You all with a lot of experience, please help.

This sounds mean and heartless, but it is the best thing to do. I urge you to firmly and cleanly break it off with this girl and then do No Contact. You are obviously no longer the first in her life.

Give yourself time to mourn her loss from your life. Someday you will find a girl who is worthy of your faithfulness.
