My wages were garnished to day from a credit card that I owed almost 11 years ago which was old to a collection agency.first of all I was never notified of a judgement. I have tried plenty of times to make an effort to pay this debt but all my offers were declined.now my question is how do I stop the garnishments please help asap

Once they are awarded a judgment against your wages there is nothing you can do to stop it. If it has been eleven years (statute is normally 6) then you must have answered their treaties and paid a nominal amount any of those years, in which case, once you do that, the statute starts all over again.

When did you "offer" to pay and did you ever mail or send them any money with an offer ? If so, that started the SOL all over again on old debts, trying to pay or paying a small amount even 10 dollars often harms you on old debts.

You can go to the court where the garnishment is though and challenge the judgement on grounds of service. If they accept this and it is over turned, you can get the garnishment stopped.
