How to disable Adobe Player download pop up?
There is an Adobe Player Download pop up. Regardless of I clicked on Yes or No, the User Account Control Window pops up displaying “Do you want to allow the following program to make change to this computer. Program name: Adobe Player; File origin: Download.” I have already tried to click “Yes” or “No” but next time the User Account Control Window still pops up. The Browser is IE 64 bit with Windows 7 Home. Can you tell how to disable it or I have to remove the Adobe Player from the computer? Thank you for your answer.

To disable automatic updates of Adobe Flash Player go to start -> control panel -> Flash Player -> select the advanced tab -> Check the radio button for "Never Check for Updates (not recommended)". This isn't recommended because if a vulnerability is found in Flash player, yours will not be up to date, and will be less secure, but that is ultimately your choice.

I can't remember if Flash Player uses ActiveX or not. If it does, there might be a yellow bar that shows up at the top of the browser you have to deal with first then try your UAC. It's a safety feature that will not allow ActiveX controls to be automatically installed. You have to accept them or refuse.

You can also disable UAC (user account control) if you want since it's pretty much useless anyway. Control Panel -> user accounts -> Change user account control settings. -> slide bar down to never notify.
