I have a Ruud furnace that is about 20 years old. It quit working and I found the 24 volt transformer burned out. I replaced it and the furnace fired right up. Later I heard this noise coming from the furnace. The inductor motor was starting and stopping, starting and stopping. I felt the 24 volt transformer that I had just replaced and it was too hot to hold. I shut it down. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom
