How can one work hard to be a billionaire

Invent something no one has thought of yet.

Discover a gold mine or oil field. Find a new drug or a new computer use and so on.

You'll probably never get rich as an employee. Even if you had a good paying job your whole life, began saving and investing young, lived below your means, and stayed healthy... You'd probably still only acquire a few million by the end of your life... ;)

If you are the kind of person that can start and run a business, you could start one or more businesses, build them up, sell them, and repeat until you had more money than you knew what to do with.

It's possible to make money... Question is more about what you are willing to sacrifice in your life to make that happen. How much sacrifice do you want to make in the pursuit of money? Is it worth it?

Pick rich parents to be born to, OR,

Get a job in Wall Street.

Actually, neither one requires hard work.
