    Frozen pipes from well
OK, dummy me, forgot to leave water trickling last night and temps in the teens. Woke this AM to no water. I live in country and have a well. My husband usually takes care of this and is unavailable to help or talk to about this. Temps are above freezing now(it is 2pm in eastern north carolina). I am assuming my well is frozen. When it gets warm enough, will the water run or do I need to prime my pump? Should I leave a tap on while waiting or just check it periodically like I have been? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Thanks in advance for any help.

Leave the tap cracked so you will know when the water starts to thaw out. You could take a blowtorch and help it along but my guess is that if you wait till it warms up you'll get your water back. You might consider installing heat tape on the exposed pipes so this doesn't happen again. Check it out at; How To Install Heat Tape
    Good luck, Tom
