    My circuit breaker won't reset
Hi All you electricians out there.

A light bulb just blew in my living room. Normally I would just go down to the fuse box and reset the circuit breaker. Today the circuit breaker won't lift back into position. What does this mean... I would do almost anything not to have to pay for an electrician to come and deal with it but I need the lights back on.

    Thanks

Did you flip the breaker completely into the off position, wait a couple of seconds, then switch it on slowly?

I hope the suggestion below works. Often that is all it takes. You did remove the offending light bulb?

Replacing the circuit breaker isn't that big of a job, but inside the breaker box isn't a good place for the inexperienced. Even with the main breaker off, there is still exposed hot wires the size of you finger. An electrician would likely do it for their service call minimum.
