My brother was appointed executor of his dads estate, after sale of house and disposal of vehicles he had set up an estate account when a half brother on the fathers side applied to replace my brother. The estate account was set up in 2005 and has not been touched. The half brother has not requested info nor has made any formal contact. These siblings do not have any kind of relationship however the estate account has my brother still listed as rep and he still gets the statements. This account has approx $32000 in it. How long should it sit or what should we do to dispose of this account?

There should have been appointed an alternate executor. Who was it?
