How do I prime a shallow well (jet pump)
The pump pumps water from a holdinf tank to my house (no well envolved)into another tank that supplies water to my house(pressureized) pump will almost start but shut off. Do I need to fill the pressure tank with water or air or would it be another problem

Are we talking galvanized pressure tank or a blue bladder tank,(see images)? To prime your pump look on top of the impeller cage and you will see a small threaded hole that has a threaded p[lug in it, Remove the plug, fill the housing, replace the plug and turn the pump on.
Good luck and let me know about the tank. Tom
