Gas line is not plugged. Gas goes to carberator but not sure it goes to spark plug. Will not fire at all. All safety switches are connected.

"standard" internal combustion engine trouble shoot procedure: 1) is it getting gasoline (fumes) to the engine? You say yes. You say it doesn't fire at all. 2) does the spark plug get a spark? Take out the spark plug, keep it connected to the plug wire, & touching the block or head, so you can see the spark gap. Turn the engine over. Does it have a spark? (Be a little cautious - we're talking good electrical jolt here that you want to avoid getting into you). The spark comes from an alternator (built into the flywheel) or a battery, but the engine has to turn to make it come at the right time. If the plug barely has a spark, clean off the plug - shouldn't have carbon build-up on it. A gap of about 0.040" to 0.050" is typical (1 - 1.25 mm); you have to have the maint. Manual to know exactly what they want. If you don't have a spark then we're getting serious - knowledgeable small engine mechanic.

If you _are_ getting a spark, then go back and see about that fuel. Pour some gasoline right on the air filter, then crank the engine - it _will_ have gasoline, just a poorly controlled amount. (Again, do with care - you are mixing uncontrolled gasoline & vapors with electrical sparks.)
