Its on my parents sofa and the living room carpet and I need to get rid of the white marks before they get back... Will just putting water on the marks get rid of them..

Basically what you have is a sugary gooey substance. So warm water and some soap should be able to clean it up nicely. Just go at it with the a wet damp rag. That should get it out.

Won't pass the black light test though. :-)
