I'm in L1 last four years. I went to India August 2006 and got married. My marriage is registered in India on Septemper'06. After marriage I came back to US in 24th Dec 06 and my wife joined me 31st Jan 07. She doesn't have any tax id or SSN. Please help me how to file a tax for 2006. Do I need file a tax as a single or married filing jointly. If she needs any kind of tax identification umber, how to get it. I'm staying in Tennessee.

You are permitted to file jointly with your wife as the non-resident alien wife filing jointly with the resident alien husband.
