Find the EGR VSV on my 97 4cyl Camry
I feel a little dumb, but I can not find the EGR VSV on my 97 4cyl Camry. I find, it seems, two VSV units - but neither seem to be EGR VSV. As I stand leaning over drivers side fender looking in to engine compartment - I quickly see and identify two similar units. Not the one in the image of haynes, or other books and purchase catalogs.
Even with Haynes image, I just can't get the perspective correct. Can you tell me how to clearly locate this EGR VSV? [I can send images]
Do I look from under vehicle? Left, right? Front? On MY MODEL - where do the hoses from this ERG VSV EXACTLY connect to? [just to help me ID the correct unit.]
It just does not appear to be where the book says it is - OR the appearance of the unit is not even close to the pictures/drawings.
Help me put my finger on this EGR VSV please.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

Toyota liked to hide that one. It's located just above the rear engine mount.
I get to them with the right front tire removed, and go through the hole the steering rack goes through.
The vacuum lines are color coded. One has a white band, the other a yellow.
They go from the egr vsv to the egr vacuum modulator.
I can get to it with a long 3/8 extension and a 12mm swivel socket.
This usually takes care of the P0401 code.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. FYI - [I am not advertising for anyone] 3 of the local, large autoparts stores are charging from $61 to over $80 for this part; and all have to order it. I got it at amazon.com for a total of $32. Including shipping. Thanks again. I'll let you know if it clears [PO401] the code too.
