    Bulge in pipe?
There is a bulge in a pipe near the main pipes that leaks when I run water. The pipes are galvanized. Should the pipe be replaced or just patched? Is the bulge normal?

You have a galvanized water pipe that has so much pressure that it's bulging? What size pipe and what's your house PSI? I've seen PVC bulge but never galvanized. Along with replacing the pipe I'd want to know what caused it to bulge. If your house pressure 's that high you have more of a problem then just a bulgy and leaky pipe. Regards, Tom

Is this pipe your water supply line or a drain line? I am guessing drain , that's why it only leaks when you use water. Tell us more or maybe post a pic.
