    Leaving the state
    I live in Louisiana,got divorced 1 yr ago,if I want to leave the state and move to Texas with our child,do I have to get my x husbands permission to leave with him or do I have to give him a 30 day notice before leaving?

    If you have joint custody you would need to get his permission on record within the local family court. Weather it is a noterized letter signed by both of you or you may actually have to go in front of a family court judge. Best thing is to call your local family court clerks office and ask their procedure.

    Even if she has sole custody she needs to get the Court's permission.
