    What's wong with my dog?
    Hello,
I have a mixed-breed, medium-sized dog. Is always happy and loves to cuddle. Yesterday for the first time, I let him have some leftover roast beef from our dinner. Ever since he woke up today, he is acting very strange. First would not eat all day, not his Alpo which he usually has twice daily.

Finally now at 5:32 pm, he ate, then went out to pee. He is back underfoot. Doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, is just acting strange--running all around, not coming when called. If it were a person, I would say what did you have to drink? He seems like someone else is in the home, cannot get comfortable, scoots his butt on the floor a lot. Please tell me is he having a reaction to people food?

    Thanks for your help,
    Paula

He is probably sick from the food you gave him. The seasonings on our food that we like will upset a dogs stomach quick!

Alpo is trash food. Please upgrade to a better quality food such as Iams, Nutro, Eukanuba or Natural Balance.

Feed your dog a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice, or browned hamburger and rice to help settle the stomach.

If this continues, you're going to have to call your vet.

I agree, you need to swicth to a really high quality dog food and skip table scrapes. In the last 6 months I adopted 2 new dogs from a shelter. In both cases a question on their form was regarding table scrapes. Apparently that was a deal breaker.
