I live in a rental house, and the landlord can't get here for a couple of days. Please help. The heater is a forced air older heil unit. I turned the heat on on the thermostat and the power on on the heater. It has an automatic pilot light. I set the thermostat to 68 and my house only got to 58 last night. There is a slight him from the unit (telling me that it is receiving electricity). Oh, and yes, my gas bill is paid off :). Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the first time you have used furnace? If not check gas line going to furnace ,it could be turned off somewhere

Yea, I checked all lines and the gas is definitely turned on.
