    Why isn't my cd working?
Hi, I just bought a new soundtrack to add to the music library on my computer (have xp). The cd contains a trailer as well as music, but the computer only seems to recognise the video. I know the audio works because I have already listened to it on a cd player, but I won't to be able to put it on my iPod. No other music program seems to pick up the music and I'm sure there's a simple reason for it! Thanks.
Ps the cd is the billy elliot soundtrack if that helps!

It might not be the answer but I have come across some CD's that the music cannot be played without the CD as of some hidden program on the CD and the files.

Well I shouldn't think so because I know other people who have it and it works for them..

You need to convert each music track into an audio file, such as mp3, wav, wma, etc.

You do this by *ripping* the cd to your hard drive. Google is your friend here.

For some reason some cd's require that quick time is installed If this the case you should find the quick time set up exe. When you explore your cd.
