I have currently been deployed for roughly 4 out of 6 months. My wife is asking me how I can keep the love alive while I'm here. I try calling just about every day along with using Skype on the weekends so I can see her along with giving the kids an opportunity to talk to me since they are in school while I'm awake here. I'm really at a loss on what I can do from here, she said that it isn't necessary to talk everyday because I generally can only catch her while she is at work. I could really, really use some suggestions from both sides on how to keep the emotional side going?

I'll answer a question with a question. Why is it YOUR job to keep love alive? What about her share of this?

Ask her what she needs/wants/expects.

Calling and sending letters is about all you can do. Be sure to let them all know you love and miss them though:)
