Water hammer question

My showers flick mixer just got replaced and the plumber said that I will need to put an adjustable PLV after the meter to bring done the pressuse because it was too high. Anyway so he did that and it was fine, after 2 weeks I get water hammer all through the house so he come back and bring the pressure down to 400 Kpa and that's fine for a week but then the water comes back to all the taps and etc to my house...

What will solove the problem?

Have your plumber install a water hammer... go to Home Depot and ask for one there about $6 and taks about 15 min to install. Good Luck.

Are you from the states. Here we call a "PLV" a PRV, (pressure reducing valve) and measure our pressure 8in PSI ( pounds per Square Inch) It sounds like you may have got a faulty valve if the plumber has to keep readjusting it.
Jrg973 advised you to purchase a "water hammer". Tell him, "No thanks! I'm trying to get rid of one". Do you know if your house has air chambers? Get your pressure straightened out and if you still have water hammer I'll instruct you on adding a fitting to make it go away. Let me know. Tom

Yeah... in total agreement with Tom. Replace the defective PRV and then, if needed, add water hammer arrestors, but I'm pretty sure replacing the PRV with a new PRV will resolve the issue.
