    I need to know how many years one may go back and refile taxes... please help

    I work as a contract designer in a city that is 175 miles from my house. I live in a hotel durign the week and go home on the weekends. I do not receive per diem. Can I deduct my lodging and meals from my taxes and what form would I include this on when I am fillig out my taxes? Thank you.

    Trey... You can file an amended return for the last three years. IF you haven't filed at all, you need to see a CPA.

    Ut... If you're self employed (as you appear to be), then your income and expenses will be reported on schedule "C". Assuming that you have done your due dilligence, of course you can deduct your expenses.
