Hi, I have a cassette tape stuck in my Sony HCD541 component audio system. The tape itself is not important so I'd like to get it out in any shape and have that tape deck back and running again. Neither of the play, rewind, fast-forward buttons work for this deck (while those for tape deck A are just fine). I can't seem to be able to press the 'eject' button either - it doesn't seem to engage.
Can anybody help?

Without seeing the unit it would be very difficult for me to give you an idea of what is going on. It could be just a simple mechanical misalignment or it could be an electrical component problem. Also, since the cassette does not matter, and you have another working deck, I wouldn't risk taking apart the unit and ending up with two non-working decks.
