    Air condioning
Installed new Hunter thermostat, Model 44550.

    A/C works fine, no heat.

The heat and a/c worked fine before I installed the new programmable thermostat.

To add to this issue I have added the following information.

I have five wires coming out of the wall.

    Green White Red Yellow Blue

The thermostate has terminals for the following.

Green White RC RH Blue Yellow

I attached the Green wire to the green terminal. The red wire to the RH terminal. The white wire to the white terminal. The blue wire to the blue terminal. The yellow wire to the yellow terminal.

There is a jumper wire between the RH and RC terminal.

With this set up I get cold air from the A/C. When I switch to Heat I just get cool air no heat.

I have switch wires around with no result. Just guessing at this point.

Maybe this will help with some additional information.

    Thanks

Double check the wiring. Go to the circuit board and check the wires on the low voltage terminal board. Make sure they match with the colors at the thermostat. With the Thermostat turned to the off position jumper between the R terminal and the W terminal at the low voltage terminal board. If the furnace reacts in some way, starts the vent assist fan, starts the pilot clicking, starts the blower motor, this means that you have a open wire somewhere between the furnace and the thermostat. Or you have a wire on the wrong terminal. Did you connect the red wire to the Rh terminal at the thermostat. If you did is there a jumper wire going to the Rc terminal.
