Can I use a 13 amp plug from my washer into a 15 amp power outlet?
Dear Sirs, I moved into a house. I bought a new washer with a 13 amp plug. When this is plugged into a 15 amp power outlet the power is cut. What should I do? Your advice is most appreciated.

Well, you can start by telling us your location.

And how exactly "the power is cut".

    Hi
I have been using a power bar with 13 amp and plugged it into the power outlet with 15 amp in Singapore. And, then I plugged from the washer into the power bar. Presumably, the power bar tripped. However, I can still run the washer if I use another power bar (13 amp) that is plugged into a power outlet (13 amp). Thank you both for asking the questions. Much appreciated. Thanks.

    Stop using the "power bar".

The overcurrent device built into it is not large enough for the current draw.
