I am currently on probation I get off at the end of march, is it possible to get a passport before I get off probatoin? Or will it come up in the screening process?

It does not matter that you are on probation. You can apply for a passport if you satisfy the usual UK passport requirements. Once you have completed the full term of your probation order then you are not answerable to the Probation Service or anyone else if no further conditions are placed upon you. If you are released early from the term then the Probation Service is entitled to place conditions such as residence etc upon you. You do not need to tell the Probation Service that you are applying unless you are subject to an ongoing Court Order (e.g Sex Offenders/ Football banning Order). It will not come up on the screening process. If you have nothing to hide, go for it.
