Repair marble tile chips on stairs
I need to repair several chipped stair edges from 1/2 inch to 1 inch chuncks knocked out. Someone told me about a type of marble/granite joint adhesive that could be used to first color then fill edge voids. He thought the name of this adhesive is "iquime," not sure on the spelling but the pronunciation is "I-KEY-ME."
    Any ideas?

Its actually Akemi although I have heard it pronounced I-Key-Me. It's a brand name for a line of stone products. The sealers and hardeners have noxious fumes, and hazmat restrictions on shipping. I would leave it to a professional. Is is expensive, and not easy to use, depending on particular compound. Any stone shop worth their salt can give you a free estimate on a repair. Repairs are generally pretty cheap (of course this depends on the extent of the damage) and they cost a lot less that ruining your stone by misusing Akemi.

Who would have though that working in a stone shop would come in handy on AMHD!
