When and how I can change my son's lastname to His Dad?
Were both in a good relationship but we are in "long distance relationship". He's in the Philippines and our baby and I are here in the you.S. I gave birth here too. . my son is 1 year old this coming November.. We're here because of petitioned.. And I believethat the future is here.Sadly, were in different country... =(

Is anyone there that have an idea?

    Thank you.

I'm confused by this. But what name does your son have now? Is the father on the birth certificate? Is there any father listed? Has the father signed an acknowledgement of paternity?

The best way to do it would be to file a petition in state court to change the child's last name. The father would probably have to sign a paper agreeing to this, but since you are "in good relationship", that shouldn't be a problem.
