Hi I have a yeast infection and my vagina itches and burns and is so red and inflamed and it's completely miserable. There's also a few small red cuts that bleed a little when I wipe. I think that I got the infection from taking antibiotics and stress and it also first appeared right before I started my period. But now my period is gone and it's still here. I tried inserting cream overnight for it but it didn't work because I still have it. So I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how I could get rid of this as soon as possible? Hi Amber, if you had a course of antibiotics and your symptoms didn't go away, I would seek further advice, probably a second opinion (another doctor). There are a few different blood tests that can determine if you have an STD or not, but if you have lesions (small red cuts) that is a definite warning sign that something else is going on besides a yeast infection.

You definitely need to see a doctor. Your lesions could become infected, leading to a much larger problem.
